Summons in Endless Ragnarok

Summons are powerful entities you can call into battle. Each summon has a unique Primal Burst ability and passive effects. Summons are a core part of your build and can dramatically change your combat effectiveness. Endless Ragnarok introduces new summons and updates existing ones.

Primal Burst Mechanics

Primal Burst is the ultimate ability of each summon. It charges over time during combat and can be unleashed for massive damage, team-wide buffs, or enemy debuffs. Key mechanics:

  • Charge Time - Varies by summon. Faster summons charge in 60s, slower ones in 120s.
  • Overcharge - Holding the burst beyond full charge increases damage by up to 50%.
  • Chain Burst - Using multiple Primal Bursts in quick succession provides a damage multiplier.
  • Summon Resonance - Matching summon elements to your team's element provides a 15% damage bonus.

How summons work in real fights

Summons are active combat tools, not just passive collectibles. You can equip multiple summons and trigger their attacks in eligible high-difficulty content. The best summon is not always the rarest one; it is the summon that fits your burst window, boss pattern, and party plan.

Multiplayer summon resource warning

In multiplayer, summon resources are shared by the party. Do not spend the entire bar just because it is available. Coordinate around Link Time, SBA chains, boss breaks, and dangerous phases. A well-timed summon during a lock-down window is usually worth more than an early panic cast.

Where to look for more summons

Check hub areas, hidden boxes, side quests, and new expansion quest rewards. Open the map when exploring hubs because chests and pickups can reveal missed summon sources. Community reports also highlight quest drops, but treat exact drop names and rates as patch-sensitive until verified in your own save.

Building a summon loadout

A practical summon loadout should cover burst damage, phase control, and consistency. Early on, use the strongest summon attacks you have and learn when bosses become vulnerable. Later, refine your loadout around your character's burst plan and party composition. If a summon attack misses often because the boss moves, it may be worse than a lower-damage option that lands reliably.

Loadout roleWhat to look forWhen to use it
BurstHigh damage during lock-down windowsLink Time, breaks, SBA chains.
ControlPressure that helps stabilize dangerous phasesBosses with short punish windows.
ConsistencyFast, reliable attacks that do not whiff easilyMobile bosses and learning runs.
UtilityStat or skill value that supports your buildWhen raw summon damage is not the bottleneck.

Summons, Link Time, and SBA chains

One strong damage pattern is to trigger Link Time, use the free damage window, then chain SBAs so the full burst nearly refills the link gauge and creates another extended punish sequence. Summons fit best when they add damage during those controlled windows. If you summon outside a stable boss window, you risk losing value to movement, invulnerability, or phase transitions.
