Investment priority for the new roster

Do not max all six new characters immediately. Pick one character whose loop you actually enjoy, then use Conflux rewards to bring that character and your AI team to a stable baseline. Crew mate cards let you test characters early, but materials, Master Trait points, sigils, and weapon upgrades are still the real bottleneck.

  1. Training room first: check movement, gap closers, charged attacks, unique gauge, and skill rhythm.
  2. One Conflux test: run enough rooms to see how the character handles mobs, bosses, and aura scaling.
  3. Damage Cap test: verify whether the character needs more raw attack or more cap investment.
  4. Master Trait preview: read route bonuses before committing rare resources.
  5. Chaos role check: decide whether the character is your main DPS, a fun secondary, or just a collection unlock.

Character comparison notes

Beatrix and Gallanza are easier to understand if you like direct melee pressure, but both ask you to respect timing. Eustace is a safer pick for players who want ranged uptime without feeling stationary. Fraux and Fediel are more technical because their strongest value comes from rhythm, stance, or chaining decisions. Maglielle is the most obvious choice for players who like visible battlefield control, floating weapons, and summoner-style fantasy.

If you are unsure, test Eustace or Beatrix first because their roles are easier to evaluate quickly. If you want a character to master over many runs, Fraux, Fediel, and Maglielle may offer more long-term expression.

Early mistakes with new characters

  • Unlocking everyone and building nobody. Testing is good; splitting rare resources too early slows progression.
  • Ignoring AI companions. A new main still needs a team behind it.
  • Judging before Master Traits. Some characters change significantly once trait routes and cap options open up.
  • Copying old base-game build logic. Endless Ragnarok adds new systems, summons, and cap options that change optimization.
